Sean Hannity spoke to economic historian and author Amity Shlaes. It’s kind of funny, I just received my copy of The Forgotten Man in the mail today.
They discuss Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s famous “Forgotten Man” radio address. According to Shlaes the hard data proves that the New Deal did not get the United States out of the depression. She compares the rhetoric of Barack Obama to that of FDR. Shlaes says that the real forgotten is, and was, the taxpayer. Ms. Shlaes predicts inflation and bigger government will be the result of President Obama’s policies.

I missed that interview and hadn’t heard of the book–thanks for posting that. Still stocking up on toilet paper and Spurkey! (Spam makes a turkey now–should be okay in the rice and beans…)
