The Wall Street Journal reports that the UAW has struck a deal with Chrysler and under the plan the union will end up with a 55% ownership stake in the company. Fiat will own 35% and “the US government and Chrysler’s secured lenders together” will own 10%.
The union has already made concessions on overtime, cost of living adjustments and holiday pay. I would expect more concessions once they have a stake in the profitability of the company.
Other than the government having an ownership stake, this sounds like a pretty good idea to me.

The Criminal UAW owns 55%–the US Government(we taxpayers) own 34%, so 89% is controlled by the government and unions…the odds on survival are slim and none…and you know slim is on the lamb.
