Tea Parties, pirates, hostages….so much news so little time.
President Obama and the Democrats keep telling us we need government run health care as an investment in the future. What they aren’t telling us is that their plans will hasten the bankruptcy of our nation. A new study shows that government health care is more expensive than private health care. Medicare and Medicaid are underpaying hospitals and physicians billions each year. Those losses are then passed on to private payers. The Democrats’ plans will only make matters worse.
Barack Obama made an end-run around Congress when he promised the International Monetary Fund an additional $140 Billion. Not only are we spreading the wealth around the United States, Obama feels it’s his job to spread our wealth around the world.
A three judge panel ruled that Al Franken is the winner in the Minnesota senate race. Norm Coleman is appealing the decision. I don’t know if Coleman has a chance or not, but hopefully this will keep Franken out of Washington DC a little bit longer.
The Fed is running out of TARP funds to lend to banks. Naturally they’re considering TARP II and trying to figure out how to pay for it. Perhaps they should consider allowing the banks to repay the funds they never wanted in the first place.
