It’s heartbreaking to hear of a missing child. These sorts of things don’t usually end well, which is why this is such good news.
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – FBI officials positively identified a child found alive in Mexico Saturday as 3-year-old Briant Rodriquez, who was snatched from his home by two armed men. The boy was reunited with his mother and a news conference is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. local time at San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Headquarters in California.
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s detectives and FBI agents received a call from officials in the border town of Mexicali on Friday that they found a boy that could be Rodriguez.
The Baja California state prosecutor’s office said police found the boy wandering alone and turned him over to child protective custody.
That night, investigators and the boy’s mother, Maria Rosalina Millan, flew to the neighboring city of Calexico to confirm his identity.
Say a prayer that this ordeal doesn’t have a lasting impact on little Briant.
