Fox News’s Griff Jenkins confronted Janeane Garofalo over her comment that the tea party protesters were racists. Sean Hannity played the clip tonight on his show.
Again, Ms. Garofalo just proves what an ignorant twit she is. I went to two tea parties on April 15 and didn’t see one racist sign or hear one racist comment uttered. I supposed we should just get used to it, as long as Barack Obama is president, anyone who speaks out against his insane policies will be labeled a racist.
And as to her question about not protesting fiscal imprudence for the past eight years – while that may be a somewhat decent point, the past eight years is nothing compared to the past four months. In case she hasn’t noticed.
By the way, is it racist of me to point out that Ms. Garofalo’s tattoos remind me of when my four year old scribbles on his body with magic markers?

Miss Garofalo asked “if it was about fiscal imprudence then where were they for the past eight years?” In eight years President Bush had to deal with 9/11, Iraq, Afghanstan, Katrina, War on Terror and Homeland Security. The “teaparties” were protesting massing spending/bailouts that absolutely dwarf Bush’s spending and all other presidents combined. Miss Garofalo really needs to just stick with name calling.

“The “teaparties” were protesting massing spending/bailouts that absolutely dwarf Bush’s spending and all other presidents combined. ”
It doesn’t dwarf “All other presidents combined.” That’s not even close to a fact.
The national debt is 90% attributable to presidents Reagan, Bush, and Bush. That’s a fact.
I don’t think the teapartygoers were racist because of the tea parties, I just think they were ignorant, as the above post shows, and/or gullible.
It’s amazing how the rich can mobilize the lower middle classes to protest taxes on the rich. Only about 1 in 50 teaparty attendees made enough money to have increased taxing under Obama. (Roughly $250,000, although really it’s more like $3-500,000.)
If you were there about spending: The Boston Tea Party was about taxation without representation (not spending).
They were protesting–at risk of life, liberty, and property–that their money was being taken, without the ability to determine their own government.
The FOX/Beck tea-parties were complaining mere months after badly losing an election , which does a great disservice to the brave men who organized the first tea-party.

The Tea Parties protest against ALL big spending…Dems AND Repubs.
Conservatives I know DIDN’T approve of Bush’s big spending.
However, there IS a teaching point here. Janeane, misguided as she may be, is still on point.
The point? Bush and Co, Repubs and Conservatives suck!
Too bad we can’t get more than a handful of Repubs to be sharks and engage in the public arena as @sshats like this biatch do on a regular basis.
