Obama wants to return to the economy of the 1970′s

We kept warning you he’d be the next Jimmy Carter….

Obama said some of the job-seekers who may normally have gone to the financial sector would shift to other areas of the economy, such as engineering.

“Wall Street will remain a big, important part of our economy, just as it was in the ’70s and the ’80s. It just won’t be half of our economy,” he said.

“We don’t want every single college grad with mathematical aptitude to become a derivatives trader.”

Who does he think he is, deciding what college grads should become? Oh yeah, he’s the king of everything, the engineer of the economy. He’ll decide who can take risks and who can’t. And where did all of that risk taking come from? Oh yeah, subprime mortgages that were bundled and sold; something that came about due to policies of his party. The same party that stood in the way of regulating the very financial institutions that caused the problems in the first place. The same party that has seen to it that those very policies continue.

All we can hope for now is that we only return to the 1970′s. The way things are going we could travel as far back in time as the 1930′s.
