I had to laugh this morning when I saw this headline. Retail sales drop unexpectedly in April What do they really expect is going to happen in the great tax’em and gouge’em month.

Shouldn’t the gov’t fix social security and medicare before trying to run a healthcare system? They already proved that they can’t do it so why try? Oh, yeah and while they are at it, only pay SS out to those who have paid into it. I’m guessing they don’t want us to have SS given the lack of energy towards it.
Has anyone found a video of President Bush’s 2005 state of the union address when he spoke about Social Security reforms and the Democrats all stayed in their seats, refusing to clap? If so, please send me a link and you’ll get a gold star!
I had to take my son to Kindergarten orientation this morning, so I’m behind in my work. I’ll be back later!

LC – I remember that speech. If I find the video I’ll be sure to send a link. They all mocked Bush for saying Social Security and Medicare were in trouble. Just like they mocked him for saying Freddie and Fannie were in trouble. Where’s the media? ha! ha! The media! I crack myself up sometimes.
