President Obama sure is busy. He’s bringing socialism – or perhaps full blown communism (we’ll have to wait and see on that one) to the United States. North Korea has been threatening us and testing missiles and nuclear bombs. We’re still fighting wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Over six million Americans are out of work. Not to mention the banks, insurance companies and auto companies he has to run. I don’t know how he finds time to jet around the country on our dime for fundraising.
So it’s amazing he found the time to do a White House reality show today.
In fact, the White House had a reality-show-like feel Friday as NBC and the network’s anchor Brian Williams taped “Inside the Obama White House,” an exclusive, behind the scenes look at what goes on inside the White House and the West Wing each day.
All day, more than a dozen crews have been strategically placed throughout the White House in the West Wing and East Wing, capturing nearly every aspect of Obama’s day and talking to the key players, too.
I thought it was ridiculous. I actually scoffed! But then I saw this.
On his trip to get a burger with Brian Williams at Five Guys this afternoon, the President appears to have learned of the existence of a Defense Department intelligence arm, the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency, from an agency employee also at the burger restaurant.
“So explain to me exactly what this National Geospatial…” Obama said, after the worker mentioned his employer, according to a video of the event.
“We work with, uh, satellite imagery,” the worker, Walter replied.
Well, it’s a good thing President Obama had his little reality show today. If not, he may have never taken the time - since he’s so busy and all - to find out about this national security agency he oversees. Good thing he and Williams needed a burger, and a camera was there to catch it all on tape.
Exit question, do you think Obama would have talked to the worker if not for the cameras?
