What is this Tea Party 2.0? Governor Sanford Explains.

I tried to search for this Tea Party 2.0 yesterday, and other than a report on Politico which gave no information I couldn’t find it. Tonight South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford appeared with Greta Van Susteren to explain.

Gov. Sanford began by admitting that his tea party won’t be as fun as the April 15 tea parties. I have to say, he’s right about that. I think his heart’s in the right place. He and Texas Governor Rick Perry are reaching out to find out the concerns of the people, which they will pass along to the governors of the other states. He said he would also like to try to spread the conservative message. I can’t find fault with that.

There is one thing I’d really like to know: where is my invitation?

If you, like me, weren’t invited I think you can go to The GOP Comeback for information. If people like Mark Sanford are leading the GOP comeback movement then I am all for it.

    Governor Stanford,

It takes a real strong individual to “Stand His Ground” when so many people continue to want to spend every penny. My wife’s Grand Parent’s who were from England constantly spoke of “Take care of the nickels, dimes, and quarters and the dollars will take care of themselves”. If South Carolina pays down some of its debt while still providing for budget costs what is the problem. Democrats would have spent every cent and not saved anything for the next day. With their thinking where will we be with our bond rating if our state continues to waste these precious and limited resources. Does the triple A mean anything, either statewise or nationally! In two years when the monies dry up from “Uncle Sam” the state including the Governor “On That Watch” will be held accountable. Keep up the good work and continue to speak for the majority, nor the minority or those encouraging “Political Correctness”.
