I’m a regular reader of Hot Air, so I was really surprised tonight when I saw this on the O’Reilly Factor. I was pretty sure the comment O’Reilly referred to was just that, a comment from a reader. Sure enough, I was right. It just makes you wonder, what’s up with this guy? Is he trying to burnish his “independent” cred? Why smear a site that’s perfectly credible? I’ve never read a post that’s untrue or outrageous at Hot Air.
I stopped listening to O’Reilly’s radio show long before they pulled the plug and I’m watching the O’Reilly Factor on Fox much less than I used to. I pretty much tune in to see Dennis Miller and that’s about it. I wasn’t paying attention tonight until I heard him ask Amanda Carpenter what the right wing blogs were saying. I was surprised at how low he stooped, maybe I’ll stop watching all together.
Update Hot Air has video of O’Reilly’s clarification. Of course, it was after Michelle Malkin called him out on Fox and Friends this morning.

So she’s been overturned on 60% of her decisions, she believes she can make law from the bench and her experience, and any woman’s experience, makes her overqualified. And we have not a leg to stand on? I agree that she will be confirmed but we must talk about just what is gaining status on SCOTUS.
I get the same vibe from O’Reilly. He is desperately trying to straddle the fence, not to mention that he is a pompous “personality.”
When he get on the pedophile judges, I love it, and Jessica’s Law – he’s just about lost me on the remainder.
BTW, picked two titles from Liberty Tree Twitter and both were yours. I had no idea:-)

YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER THAT THIS IS THE GUY WHO REFUSED TO ACKNOWLEDGE, FOR YEARS, THAT THE MEAN STREAM PRESS WAS TOTALLY LEFT WING, OR EVEN THAT IT TILTED THAT WAY. AND WHERE DOES HE GET SOME OF HIS PATRIOTS AND PINHEADS? THE GUY IS A JERK.

We were regular viewers of FoxNews, but they are still beating the republican/democrat drum, so I rarely turn them on. Mostly I watch business news on CNBC, then hit Bloomberg at 6 EDT for Asian outlook.
Traditional media is rapidly becoming obsolete. Blogs and twitter seem to be carrying more important information these days. Even Beck is getting stale. Or is it that I have already blogged on the stuff he is now covering such as the Socialist roots of Acorn and obama?
Conservative blog will have to carry the message as the media will remain tied to the political party system.
