Who refuses revenue in a recession? Pravda ABC News, that’s who!
As if refusing to offer any alternative to Obamacare during Obamathon weren’t bad enough, Pravda ABC News is unwilling to air any opposition ads during the ABC Obamathon from the White House, according to Drudge Report.
Conservatives for Patients Rights requested the rates to buy a 60-second spot immediately preceding ‘Prescription for America’.
Statement from Rick Scott, chairman of Conservatives for Patients Rights:
“It is unfortunate – and unusual – that ABC is refusing to accept paid advertising that would present an alternative viewpoint for the White House health care event. Health care is an issue that touches every American and all potential pieces of legislation have carried a pricetag in excess of $1 trillion of taxpayers’ money. The American people deserve a healthy, robust debate on this issue and ABC’s decision – as of now – to exclude even paid advertisements that present an alternative view does a disservice to the public. Our organization is more than willing to purchase ad time on ABC to present an alternative viewpoint and our hope is that ABC will reconsider having such viewpoints be part of this crucial debate for the American people. We were surprised to hear that paid advertisements would not be accepted when we inquired and we would certainly be open to purchasing time if ABC would reconsider.”
What a sad, sad day in America.
I suggest that we boycott ABC News and their local affiliates. Call, e-mail or write to your local ABC News affiliate and let them know you will no longer watch their local news broadcast because of the actions and bias of ABC News.

Update: Others are boycotting all ABC programming on June 24, the day of Obamathon. I will be joining them.

May I suggest we boycott everything the government touches. The media thing is old news for me. I rarely watch even Fox these days. I am looking for fresh content from someone who reports the news, not interprets it.
GE, GM, Chrysler, AIG, All the Big Banks, Insurers are on my list. And I might add musicians, comedians, actors, writers and politicians who are not for Limited Government.

The GE/Obama connection is deeper and more ugly than you can imagine. In addition to the obvious NBC/MSBNC, etc, GE is heavily on-board and lobbying PRO Cap(tax) and trade because they expect to make their “credits” a profit-center from their wind-turbine business. It is ugly, my friends – and the fascist tinge of corporatism makes me shudder.
What is worse, my local radio broadcast that carries most of the conservative talk I like is an ABC affiliate. I AM calling them to tell them I will boycott any advertiser until it is clear their parent reports objectively; which means – I’ll never be able to support their advertisers.

Oh, and, while I certainly like the notion of boycotting everything the government touches; what does that leave? I wake up each day feeling a little dirty just knowing I am supporting all this (involuntarily) with my hard-earned tax dollars.

Where can we find a list of sponsors for the abc (doesn’t deserve capital letters) health farce to boycott? I have decided not to watch Impact on Sunday, even though I enjoy David James Elliott. I can’t stomach watching anything on abc right now. I just wish I were a nielsen family so I could really make a statement.
