All the President’s Czars

June 9, 2009

Interesting and informative roundtable between Glenn Beck, Gretchen Carlson, Charles Payne and Judge Andrew Napolitano about all of President Obama’s czars. Gretchen’s family has owned a Chrysler dealership for about 90 years, it’s a successful dealership but they’re being shut down anyway. Gretchen would like to ask the car czar why her parent’s business was shuttered with no explanation. Charles Payne warns about the pay czar regulating pay across the board and Judge Napolitano explains how they’re going to try to get away with it all. We have these unelected czars, answerable to nobody but the president, making up policy as they go along. This is dangerous and it’s illegal. This video is a bit long but it’s worth watching the whole thing.

Watch it, it’s coming. The Obama administration/dictatorship is effectively firing auto dealers based on political affiliation. Thats profiling and is illegal and unconstitutional. Where is all of this going? We are losing rights exponetially and sooner rather than later will have zero control. We self govern and should hold our elected officials accountable.
I challenge you all to read the declaration of independence and see if the claims made against the King of England pertain to our political situation today. They absolutely do! Declare independence from the tyranny of this goverment that has totally forgotten the principles upon which it was created. We the people have the power to control our own destiny. We should not allow this overthrow to happen without fighting it.
I second the motion to impeach!

Mr.Obama with help from Speaker Pelosi are doing their best to turn this country into a communist country. And these Czars are another way to circumvent the constitution. I’m waiting for a Fart CZAR because of the methane gas that farm animal’s porduce. If Obama wants to aline hisself with a former President he should try Jimmy Carter or F.D.R. I to am for impeaching Obama, but the down side is we would get Commrade Obiden and we sure as hell don’t want Pelosi in the White House.

Perhaps someone can tell me where in the Constitution czars are authorized to be heads of made up departments of our government. Then these czars are allowed to implement their own departmental policies without answering to anyone except the president. These people are not cabinet appointees. They are a new ghost government being implemented to take over power from the people of the United States.
Ladies and gentleman, we must stop this take over. And if need be the president should be removed(impeached )for treason against the United States. In that the president using these czars to sidestep the constitutional boundries set up under the constitution is treason. There is no doubt in my mind that this is the intent of the president.
God help us if I am right,

    Sincerely,
    Richard Matthies

I am now nearly 70 years old, and have always been concerned about Presidents appointing czars. I am concerned about Obama doing the same, I’m not worried about how many he appoints, but it being done in the first place. But I do find it concerning also, why are so amny people in an uproar not. Numbers isn’t the issue, but appointing. Why so worried now.

Yes, I kinda agree with the comment of, “why upset now, its being going on for yrs.” I like to believe that “The same justice for all” also the same rules for all” There is so much hate and anger going on out there.

My concern is, out of who’s budget does their salary come; how much are they paid; do they, in turn each have a staff of their own; and same as above on the salaries.

The OBama administration is simply a giant magnification of the individual citizens who overspent on credit cards and houses and have left the mess for somebody else to clean up. I don’t understand WHY it is that those who do “wrong” seem to always get “rewarded” while those who did “right” have to pay for it. Am I still in America????

sigh. From both the left to the right, may we please stop with the conspiracy theories of the opposition. Did you know that many of the 34 Czar positions in the Obama Administration were created by previous administrations dating back to Richard Nixon? Did you know that media has reportably been coining the term “Czar” for these positions since the 1940′s? These “Czar” positions do not “circumvent” the balance of power; Czars do not hold absolute power; Czars are advisers and more importantly they are heads of various offices with really long names.

    EXAMPLES:
-The “Drug Czar” is actually the “Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy” created by G.H.W. Bush in 1989
-The “AIDS Czar” is actually the “Director of the Office of the National AIDS Policy” created under Clinton in 1993
-The “Intelligence Czar” is actually the “Director of National Intelligence” created by G.W. Bush in 2005
-The “Boarder Czar” is actually the “Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary for international affairs and special representative for boarder affairs” created by G.W. Bush in 2005

These aren’t Czars… Czar is a nickname, these are just administrative advisers with really long awkward job titles.

did you know that G.W. Bush actually had 45 appointed Czars? So, lonely conservative… do your research. Same to you, fox noise.

Andrew you bring up great points. Can you tell me how many czars in previous administrations were self-avowed Marxists or communists? Or how many believed in Eugenics? Or perhaps the ones who thought Chavez is or was a great leader for how he took over the media to control the people? Maybe you can tell us how many from past administrations thought that animals should be able to sue people? Were any part of radical groups like the weather underground?
The corrupt argument that “it was done in the past” or “they did it so I can do it” won’t work any longer. Morality, Integrity and Freedom all are lost in a society where the rules bend depending on your agenda. What happened in the past, if wrong, doesn’t give it a “pass” to be done today. I am sorry that the American people felt that NOW is the time to object to what seems like a corrupt political machine ( ACORN, TIDES foundation, Apollo group, etc. They very well should have stood up during Bush’s presidency…

    To Richard Matthies written 8/2009

    This is the part of the Constitution that allows the appointment of “czars”;

    EXECUTIVE BRANCH

Section 2 – Civilian Power over Military, Cabinet, Pardon Power, Appointments

He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments

    To Ann:

“by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate” – Most of Obama’s czars were not confirmed by the Senate.

The money to pay the czar’s comes out of the President’s budget but still needs to be approved by Congress – is the way I understand this.
