I don’t know how much longer President Obama is going to get away with blaming the economy on George Bush. Sooner or late he’s going to own it. The Labor Department released it’s latest data and US employers have slashed another 345,500 jobs in May. That brings total unemployment up to a whopping 9.4%, the highest since July 1983. So where are those jobs Obama “saved or created” anyway?
The media is trying their best to put a positive spin on the story, I guess they expected Obamanomics to bring even more job losses. Gateway Pundit has charts showing unemployment under Clinton, Bush (who inherited a recession and 9/11) and Obama. What we’re seeing is what happens when politicians try to micro-manage the economy. It may help them retain power (for a while, until people catch on) but it certainly isn’t sound economic policy.
Update: The White House announced they will spend more money – and faster – to deal with this problem. Ridiculous – like it’s worked so well so far.

I’m sure it will only get worse. Don’t these people learn from history?

You mean it’s NOT Bush’s fault?

The One said that by this time we would be below 8% unemployment because of his Herculean effots with the rotten economy tha Bush cursed on him. The “shovel-ready” projects seem fit only for a shovel full of b.s.
