Contessa Brewer cuts off John Ziegler’s mike -Plus: Palins respond to dirty old man Letterman

MSNBC invited John Ziegler to appear for an interview with Norah O’Donnell, instead, he was interviewed by the hostile Contessa Brewer. Brewer just can’t understand why Governor Palin would take offense at being called “slutty” or hearing jokes about the statutory rape of her daughter. Which makes it all the more ironic that Brewer took such offense that Ziegler pointed out the bias of her network! He must have hit a nerve - she had his mike cut off.

Speaking of Sarah Palin, David Letterman so enjoyed attacking the governor and her family on Monday that he continued his vile commentary on Tuesday, insinuating that her teenage daughter is a prostitute. Todd and Sarah Palin aren’t laughing.

In an e-mailed statement, the Republican governor said: “Laughter incited by sexually perverted comments made by a 62-year-old male celebrity aimed at a 14-year-old girl is not only disgusting, but it reminds us some Hollywood/N.Y. entertainers have a long way to go in understanding what the rest of America understands – that acceptance of inappropriate sexual comments about an underage girl, who could be anyone’s daughter, contributes to the atrociously high rate of sexual exploitation of minors by older men who use and abuse others.”

Her husband, Todd, added in the same statement that “any ‘jokes’ about raping my 14-year-old are despicable. Alaskans know it, and I believe the rest of the world knows it, too.”

Unfortunately, there are quite a few people out there who find Letterman’s filthy jokes perfectly acceptable. The audience laughed, obviously they thought it was funny. Shame on them.
