Good News! Road blocks on the path to destroying American health care!

President Obama needs more than a sympathetic media to sell Obamacare. For one thing, he needs the full support of his party. Fortunately for the American people, some democrats come from fairly conservative districts and will have a tough time explaining to the folks back home how they ruined the health care industry. The Hill reports that centrists in the House are fighting the left.

There is concern among centrists in the caucus that the draft bill, to be released Friday, will reflect some of the more liberal ideas in the caucus, although leadership has already rejected the idea of a single-payer system. It is being put together by the House Education and Labor, Energy and Commerce and Ways and Means committees.

“You have a bunch of crazy liberal chairs and their crazy liberal staffers, and they want to lay down a marker,” said a senior Democratic aide.

The two caucuses have already put out separate written principles on healthcare that are similar, expressing reservations about a public option and opposing a “Medicare-like” system.

The president also needs competence from the Senate. Senate competence - what an oxymoron. According to Politico the Senate Finance Committee can’t even meet their own deadline.

Health care reform hit a serious setback Wednesday, with the Senate Finance Committee blowing its own deadline for a bill and the Health Committee breaking sharply along partisan lines – developments that place President Barack Obama’s August deadline for passing a bill in doubt.

After weeks of relative calm on the issue, over the last 72 hours, the process hit its roughest stretch all year.

It started Monday when the Congressional Budget Office returned a $1.3 trillion pricetag on Sen. Ted Kennedy’s bill – a number that far exceeds what most lawmakers are willing to pay.

And it continued Wednesday, when the Senate Finance Committee – long viewed as the best hope for producing a bill that could draw bipartisan support – signaled it was unable to produce a package in the coming days. The committee said it might put off its markup of the bill until after the July 4 recess, almost a month from Chairman Max Baucus’ original start date.

Obama also may need to pick off a few republicans, which is looking less likely since they have their own plan. Karl Rove believes that they can stop Obamacare, even if there’s no chance of their own plan passing.

Fortunately, Sens. Tom Coburn of Oklahoma and Richard Burr of North Carolina, and Reps. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin and Devin Nunes of California have devised a plan that will likely appeal to anyone interested in making health insurance more affordable and portable. …

The House GOP also formed a Health Care Solutions Group that unveiled proposals yesterday. The group wanted to make health care more affordable, expand availability, and promote healthier life choices. It did this by proposing two-dozen ways to improve existing law to make it easier and more cost-effective to buy health insurance.

Let’s just hope the democrats’ incompetence and cold feet continue. The longer they take, the more time Americans have to think about what exactly it is they’re buying.

I am not really opposed to health care for all IF>IF>IF we can pay for it without punitive taxation or as Obama plans to do…print money, borrow money or raise huge revenues by simply raising the prices of everything via Cap and Trade and Corporate taxation.

If we get a bill that is beyond expensive and its signed then Americans had better start planning on firing their representatives and senators…because its going to burden Americans from now till hell freezes over with repressive taxation.

How so you ask? Because to pay for it in the long run we will not be able to absorb high prices on goods and services without being in prolonged stagflation. Hence we will have to reduce the tax on corporations for their willingness to lower prices but to pay for the health care we will have to find other ways…hence higher taxes and I do mean MUCH HIGHER TAXES.

Obama might not be willing to tax you but the democrats are using slight of hand and deception to get this bill into place which will jeopardize future health economies of this nation like no other bill we’ve ever had.

Write your congressman…..especially if he is a moderate democrat.
