In an earlier post I warned you that the House is set to vote on the Waxman-Markey cap and tax bill this Friday. The democrats are planning to commit economic suicide – I should say homicide. They’ll do just fine, it’s the rest of us that will be screwed.

The National Black Chamber of Commerce released a study with some disturbing findings. Their analysis determined that by 2030  this law will:

·reduce national GDP roughly $350 billon below the baseline level;
·cut net employment by 2.5 million jobs (even after accounting for new “green” jobs); and
·reduce earnings for the average U.S. worker by $390 per year.

Nice, they plan to make us all poorer to appease the environuts. Not only will they make us poor, the following chart shows that most of the money raised by Cap and Tax will go to the wilderness and foreign trees. Nothing like exporting even more jobs overseas.

The far right section is the amount going to ’worker assistance and job training.’ The rest goes to (left to right) wildlife, foreign tropical forests and international clean technology. All of this to reduce the average surface temperature by one tenth of one degree Celsius.
