Reader Henry C pointed out how President Obama is touting his splan to cut Medicare to fund his health care takeover.
” Obama has proposed trimming more than $600 billion from Medicare and Medicaid by 2019 — including more than $300 billion in cuts unveiled in his Saturday radio and Internet address .”
I remember somebody telling me that it was dangerous to fund health care reform with Medicare cuts. Let’s see… who was that? Oh yeah:
Even if he does find a few hundred billion in cuts from Medicare, it won’t come close to the $1.6 trillion price tag. And for that $1.6 trillion only about a third of those they call uninsured will be insured. What then, another $1.6 trillion? Or $3 trillion? $4 trillion?
