Rudy Giuliani told CNN he is “thinking about” a run for governor in New York in 2010.

He was a competent mayor of New York City so there’s no reason to believe he woudn’t be competent as governor. Then again, the way things are going in Albany I can’t imagine why anyone would want the job of governor. I read somewhere the other day that no backlash was expected against Albany politicians for their absolutely horrid job performance. I thought (even though I live here) “New Yorkers get what they deserve.” So if Rudy decides not to run I would completely understand.
