The number of people searching for the term “economic depression” on Google is down to normal levels, Summers said.
Searches for the term were up four-fold when the recession deepened in the earlier part of the year, and the recent shift goes to show consumer confidence is higher, Summers told the Peterson Institute for International Economics.
One of President Obama’s economic advisors, Larry Summers, says the economy is improving. He claims to know this from Google searches. Again, I can’t make this stuff up.
How much are we paying this guy? A little hint: people are now used to the idea of a depression. Now they’re too busy looking for jobs to waste their time looking up what they already know.

There is some real lefty think tank productivity for you. what in the world passes for logic with these people? Has it never occurred to them that the number of inquiries dropped off because there are a fixed number of people who didn’t understand the term? These people never cease to amaze me with their ability to re-invent stupid, more than that, there are millions buying this line of crap.
People are strange animals, by and large if you tell them what they want to hear, they believe it. Not because it is true, but because that’s what they want to hear. This is why I maintain that the majority is almost always wrong, they will rely on any damned fools (or agenda driven propagandists) research simply because that’s what they want to believe. Never mind that it defies logic, or that the truth might seem unsavory, requiring action, or accountability.
Sadly, they outnumber us at a pretty high ratio, just check out the comment sections of most sources on the pertinent issues, you’ll see what I mean.
Here we set in an age of split second communication, and what do we get? Massive redundancy, tailor made PC newspeak spoon feeding the masses socialist/marxist/communist group think idiocy, aimed at the lemmings who can’t understand why those few poor fools are yelling “turn around, there is a cliff ahead”. This happens over and over again, and the majority still has their heads firmly planted in some warm moist orifice, being spoon fed the same line of stuff.
