Congress: Obamacare is good enough for thee, but not for me!

You would think the democrats would be the first to sign up for this utopian government health care program they’re imposing on the rest of us. But no, these politicians believe they are special. They believe they deserve better health care than the people funding their health care.

Democrats also voted down an amendment from Rep. Dean Heller (R-Nv.) that would require all Members of Congress to get insurance through the government-run plan. Apparently Democrat members of Congress do not like the government plan they’re trying to inflict on the rest of us. In a straight party line vote, Democrats voted against exempting themselves from the government-run plan by a vote of 21-18.

“We also had an amendment to require that members of Congress must participate in the government-run plan,” Camp said. “If it’s such a great idea, it should be a great idea for members of Congress. The majority voted to prevent that from happening. They voted to exempt members of Congress from the government-run plan.”

That’s right. They voted to exempt themselves from this horrible, rationing, health care plan they want to impose on all of us. Follow the link and read the whole thing. It gets even worse. They voted against an amendment to exempt illegal aliens. They voted against an amendment striking down the public option. These people running our federal government are a cancer on our republic. They know it, which is why they’re trying so hard to ram this through without public scrutiny. They know if they can spread their cancer fast enough, by the time it’s found it will be too late.

Tell them you don’t want Obamacare! Remind them that they work for us, not the other way around!

Nevadans for Dean Heller is proud of the Congressman’s bold and innovative move to enforce personal accountability for legislators responsible for passing this cancerous bill.
The Nevadans for Dean Heller Blog covered Rep. Heller’s amendment.
