The left wing hack who likes to call himself a newsman, Dan Rather, is calling on President Obama to save the press. Does he have any idea how stupid he sounds? And he was crying, to boot.
“A truly free and independent press is the red beating heart of democracy and freedom,” Rather said. “This is not something just for journalists to be concerned about, and the loss of jobs and the loss of newspapers, and the diminution of the American press’ traditional role of being the watchdog on power. This is something every citizen should be concerned about.”
What?!? If the press wants to be saved they could start by not being a mouthpiece for the democrat party. While I agree that the press should be a watchdog on power – why don’t they start? And if he’s looking for a “truly free and independent press” President Obama is the last person he should be looking to for help in saving his flailing industry.

On a day when the Blue Dogs become Nancy Pelosi’s “Lap Dogs”{as Rush and others predicted they would}, Dan Rather is comic relief…I met this guy when I was News Director at KGNO Radio in Dodge City back in 1980, he had the greasy look and smell of a left wing hack, just like his idol, Uncle Walter.
