Like a child throwing a tantrum, President Obama told Democratic lawmakers he wants a health care bill and he wants it now. Someone needs to give this guy a time out! He can use the time to read the Constitution. Congress is supposed to be a check on the president’s power, not an agent of the president.
Moving forcefully on his top domestic priority, President Barack Obama told a powerful Senate chairman on Monday he wants legislation ready in the Finance Committee by week’s end, according to numerous Democratic officials.
These officials said Obama made his wishes known to Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., at a White House meeting attended by administration officials and senior Democratic lawmakers.
It was not immediately clear whether Obama expressed a preference for a bipartisan measure — which Baucus has been laboring over for months — or a bill tailored more to Democratic specifications.
The conversation underscored Obama’s determination to push legislation through both houses of Congress before lawmakers go home for a summer break late this month or in August.
He wants a bill. He doesn’t care if it’s a good bill. He doesn’t care if it’s 1300 pages of pork that nobody has time to read. He just wants a bill. So he can have a signing ceremony in front of cameras, and deliver a speech telling the unwashed masses that Dear Leader has again come through for them. His poll numbers are slipping and he’s mad. Expect things to get ugly.
What I find more worrisome than Obummer possibly thinking he rules congress, is the misconception of a great majority that he does. Ignorance among the masses has conferred a quasi kingship upon the president. This misconception seems to be gaining momentum as history progresses. Fewer and fewer understand that our founding fathers goal was to be free of oppressive monarchies and we were to be a self ruling people.
Sadly, most seem not to desire self rule, (who ya gonna point the finger at?) they would rather hang their perceived success or failure on some one else. Actually most willingly take credit for any success, it’s the failure part they have trouble with.
These same people who abdicate self rule and subjugate themselves to the government fail to realize their subjugation, self deluding themselves that they are free.
How does one fix stupid???

Of course Obama rules the Democrat-contolled Congress. Remember they think he’s like God, only better.
