Today is the day we officially celebrate the birth of a great nation. It’s kind of ironic, with everything going on in Washington, DC. Surely, the founders never envisioned such a large, intrusive federal government.
I’m off to a Tea Party, to join others who want to preserve the republic given to us by the founders.
For fun this Independence Day you can read the Declaration of Independence. Peggy Noonan wrote a great piece for the Wall Street Journal about the struggle for independence and the man who has done such a spectacular job of documenting that struggle. It’s definitely worth a read.
However you celebrate the day, I hope you enjoy it!
