I was playing a game with my kids - I chased them around until I caught one and tickled him. They’re pretty fast, so I had to use diversionary tactics to catch them. As one was running I would yell “Hey, look over there!” He’d stop and I’d catch him and give him the tickle treatment. It only worked a few times before they caught on. But it was fun while it lasted.
How many times do Barack Obama and the Democrats have pull this little trick before the American people catch on? During the Michael Jackson media frenzy the House (after much thuggery and arm twisting by Pelosi and Company) rammed through the disastrous crap and tax bill.
This week all eyes are on the SCOTUS nomination hearing of Judge Sonia Sotomayor. So, you ask, what have the democrats been up to while my attention has been diverted? Plenty.
They are pushing a ‘hate crimes’ bill that will essentially attack the free speech clause in the First Amendment to the Constitution. Under the provisions of the bill, merely speaking against homosexuality as a ‘sin’ would be enough to land you in court. Perhaps your conservative Christian preacher at Church would like to know that if this thing passes, he will probably become an immediate criminal. The gist of the bill seeks to go after free speech and thought. [...]
But that’s not all. The stealth Congress is also pushing to control the content of local broadcasters on radio–a ‘Fairness Doctrine’ without actually bringing back the Fairness Doctrine. This scheme focuses on local monitors of broadcasters under the watchful eye of FCC. In addition to this, we keep hearing certain Congress stooges talk about controlling free speech on the Internet by leveeing taxes, limiting broadband width for ‘small businesses and bloggers,’ and other such slimy attempts to minimize the voices of the common citizens on the world wide web.
Further, Obama has just approved billions in TARP money (that is our tax money!) for small local community colleges. He wants ‘every American to go to college.’ [...]
But the most stunning and repugnant stealth legislation of all revolves around the upcoming battle over socialized medicine, the price-tag of which is over a trillion dollars, and the consequence of which will be plummeting quality of care.
The healthcare bill introduced in the House will drastically reduce spending on Medicare, upon which our Senior Adults depend. With this money the government will pay for healthcare for illegal aliens and those who do not have insurance.
In short, Obama and the Democrats wish to kill off Senior Adults and the elderly severely ill in order to pass this draconian Orwellian socialized healthcare plan.
Remember, both Tom Dascle, former U.S. Senator, and Tim Geithner, Treasury Secretary, have both stated that it is the duty of the chronically ill elderly to go ahead and die so that ‘society can save the costs of treating them.’
“Hurry up and die.” Talk about a hate crime. Of course politicians will be allowed to age with dignity and better than adequate health care. The rest of us won’t. You may be young now, but that’s temporary.
