News you may have missed

The press can’t seem to walk and chew gum at the same time. While the media is busy covering Judge Sotomayor promising to be impartial and senators grandstanding for the cameras, you may have missed out on the rest of the news. So I interrupt the Sotomayor love-fest to bring you the rest of the news.

Fox News reports that the Treasury Department reports an all time high US deficit. It now tops $1 trillion! Aren’t we the lucky ones? It’s like someone stole your Mastercard, ran up thousands in debt, and then you’re told you have no recourse. Get used to it. This is the age of hopeandchange. Don’t expect a kiss.

Democrats are trying to distract Americans from their agenda with claims that former Vice President Dick Cheney intentionally withheld information from congress. As it turns out, they’re lying. What a shock. The program in question - which never was operational - was approved by Congress. Don’t expect Chris “Tingly-Leg” Matthews to tell you that.

Not the scare anyone, but to make you aware – the swine flu may not be as benign as expected. A little healthy British girl died from swine flu after complaining of a sore throat. Because she didn’t exhibit flu-like symptoms she was not given Tamiflu.

Car Czar, and big time donor to democrats, Steven Rattner decided to step down from his position. Gee, I wonder why? Does he know something the rest of us don’t?

Minority broadcasters now have their hands out, looking for a piece of the Porkulus Pie. Instead of asking for a government hand out they may want to consider delivering what people want to hear. Just a suggestion.

If all of the above that isn’t bad enough, the economy is worse than you think.

Remember folks, you get what you vote for. And so do the rest of us. Thanks alot! Have some more Kool Aid.

…”National Association of Black Owned Broadcasters”…

Surprisingly enough, the acronym NABOB sprang to mind immediately, causing a huge gales of laughter and screen blurring due to the tears running from my eyes.

nabob: \ˈnā-ˌbäb\ 1 : a provincial governor of the Mogul empire in India 2 : a person of great wealth or prominence

Nabobs on their knees before congress, seeking government aid, because?…..”advertisers have severely cut investments in minority audiences”… Go figure, the high and mighty nabobs seek a seat on the gravy train.

The marketplace doesn’t matter anymore. Would Acorn be in business without TAX money keeping it alive?
