Kevin Hassett calls the Obama administration the “most fiscally irresponsible in the history of the US.” That’s an understatement. Hassett believes that California’s fiscal nightmare will serve as a warning to Senate Democrats to pare back Obamacare. I’m not convinced. And even if a few democrats waffle they can still find a few RINO’s like Olympia Snowe to pass whatever legislation they want.
When it comes to spending, democrats just can’t seem to spend enough. The ink is barely dry on the Porkulus bill President Obama signed into law, yet they are already calling for more stimulus. Rick Klein reports that Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) is believes we need another huge spending bill.
He continued: “We very may well need to do a second stimulus, and we have to reassure the American people that just because the banks are back on better footing again, we haven’t overlooked them. They’re the priority, and we gotta make sure that’s clear.”
It wouldn’t be a second stimulus, it would be a third stimulus. President Bush’s stimulus (along with congress controlled by democrats) last year didn’t do much good. Obama’s stimulus (along with congress controlled by democrats) this year hasn’t done any good. When did increased welfare aid ever create jobs?
Whitehouse isn’t the only one calling for more “stimulus.” The Wall Street Journal reports that left-leaning economists are urging the White House to continue spending us into oblivion. And the White House is considering it.
Have any of democrats and so-called economists stopped to think that it’s the policies of the Obama administration and congressional democrats causing the need for additional welfare spending? It’s apparent they learned well the political lessons of FDR, but have they learned the economic lessons? Or do they want to drive us into another Great Depression?

[...] There sure are plenty. And that’s not all he lies about. He inherited a deficit, yes, but not this deficit! How about the way he’s singing a different tune on the Porkulus bill? It’s exactly as [...]
