Are you having trouble keeping up with the news these days? Who isn’t? Especially when it comes to the status of the democrats’ attempts to wreck our medical system. I’ve scoured the internet so you don’t have to. Here’s the latest.
Ballerina Rahm Emanuel boldly declared there would be a House vote on the horrid health care bill (which the president hasn’t read but still supports) before they leave for the August recess. He said “Having a deadline focuses the mind.” I think a year and a half vacation would be a good way for members of Congress to focus their minds. They can focus on what they will do with their lives when they’re forced into retirement after the 2010 election.
Ballerina thug Rahm Emanuel forgot to talk to the Blue Dogs before making his empty promises. The Blue Dogs are so disillusioned with the leadership in the democrat party, they went so far as to accuse the leadership of lying to them. They can’t really be surprised that Pelosi and Waxman are liars, can they? It looks like President Obama has more than the Republicans to worry about.
Speaking of Republicans – Republicans continue to oppose ObummerCare. They also continue to offer their own ideas for bringing down the costs of private health insurance. Because those ideas don’t give any control to the federal government, the democrats won’t even debate them. Heck, they won’t even let the republicans inform constituents of what looms if ObummerCare becomes reality.
President Obama is fond of personally taking on his critics. Earlier this week it was Senator Jim DeMint – without mentioning his name. I guess he’s trying to learn the art of tact. He, and his White House have a long way to go. The Chicago political machine that made hard ball politics an (ugly) art form are accusing the GOP of playing politics with the health care debate. If that’s the case, it’s only because the democrats went and made it so easy.
Here’s the short list of things the Republicans can use against the democrats for political purposes: A mutli-billion dollar stimulus bill that stimulated nothing but government and democrat supporters. A House energy bill that, if enacted into law, will stimulate nothing but government, democrat supporters, and democrats’ stock holdings. Proposed health care bills that, if passed, will eliminate private health insurance while stimulating democrat supporters. And last, but not least, the take-over of auto companies banks and other financial institutions (all of which magically supported democrat supporters and their cronies). Oh, but sure, the republicans should remain silent. Wouldn’t want to play politics, now would they?
Should the democrats succeed in destroying America’s medical industry, some states are taking action to make sure it doesn’t apply to them. Texas is among the states asserting soveriegnty against the Leviathan known as the federal government. Thursday, Governor Rick Perry announced he will consider invoking the 10th amendment to assert his state’s right to opt out of ObummerCare. Good for him! It wouldn’t be surprising to see more states follow suit, especially considering that a majority of democrat governors are opposed to ObummerCare.
All in all, I’d say we aren’t out of the woods quite yet. Who knows what tricks the Chicago machine politicians have up their smarmy little sleeves in order to get their way. But the way President Obama appears to be imploding on the television screen day after day is a good sign that they may be running out of options. That, my friends, would be a good thing.

The Republicans are in quite a quandary, having sat on their hands as Eligula, bursting with Compassionate Conservatism simultaneously smashed the budget and the Bill of Rights- increasing the deficit BY THE SUM OF ALL PREVIOUS DEFICITS,so that even as Obama threatens to take things to a yet-higher power, they are in no position to preach from any Moral High Ground. Rick Perry is likewise a fine example- having not noticed while an unregistered peanut processor was poisoning the populace, he sanctimoniously championed making an especially exhorbitant and controversial vaccine (Gardisil) mandatory, on top of a slew of other mandatory vaccinations. Of course Big Pharma lobbying had no part in the matter.
