You don’t want to pay for your own health insurance? You know – that health insurance that is so expensive because we won’t let you shop in other states or even consider tort reform. No problem – we’ll just take the money from someone else!
President Barack Obama, looking to pay for his ambitious health-care plan and shore up public support, endorsed a surtax on families earning $1 million a year for the first time Wednesday.
“To me, that meets my principle” that the cost of overhauling health care is “not being shouldered by families who are already having a tough time,” he said at a prime-time White House news conference.
I have an idea – how about only the uber-rich (like Hollywood celebrities and democrats in congress) who supported Obama’s presidency pay the extra tax?
Oh yeah, and how about they sign up for the same plan they want to stick the rest of us with!
Obamacare + the elderly = Shovel ready projects.
