This morning on Fox and Friends Gretchen Carlson spoke to three people who voted for Barack Obama. It was very curious indeed. None of the three are happy with all of the spending going on, yet they all seem to still love President Obama.
Eric Yaverbaum went to a Tea Party to protest the spending and debt, yet he would vote for Obama again.
Savona Bailey-McLain is a small business owner and thinks stimulus funds should have gone directly to her without the hassle of government bureaucracy. When Gretchen pointed out that John McCain’s message about small business was more in line with her thinking, she said he only said those things to get votes. (I kind of snorted when I heard that one!)
Jason Olson has been laid off twice, doesn’t like Congress and the way they spend our money, but would definitely vote for Obama again. He’s against a second stimulus loaded with pork, but if Obama the leader is for it then it must be okay.
Is it just me, or is there some sort of disconnect with these folks who otherwise seem like nice, normal Americans? Who do they think signs these pork-laden spending bills into law? The Tooth Fairy?

Google “Obama+hypnosis techniques” and there is a very interesting and, in my opinion, dead center theory about why these people are slavishly devoted. I watched my grandmother, innocently bigoted due to her age and insulated upbringing and in the depths of Alzheimer’s, light up when he came on tv. She couldn’t understand anything he was saying and yet if he appeared on camera she just glowed…

I don’t recall if I ever posted about that, but I do remember reading it. Jonah Goldberg’s Liberal Fascism also sheds some light on the matter.

Why do you people only have a problem when the spending is done for humanitarian purposes, but when it comes to killing and cushioning the uber rich, not a peep? I find that a curious case indeed.
