A construction worker happened to be at the right place at the right time. A woman was drowning in the raging Des Moines River after her boat capsized. Sadly, her husband did not survive. But he, too was a hero.
‘I saw the boat drift down, and he started it up and he hit the bridge base,’ construction worker Joe Lowe told local media.
‘Then he tried to wrap it up with an anchor or line and then I heard him holler at his wife, put your life jacket on. He didn’t have one on.’
The unnamed husband’s concern for his wife may have saved her life. Her life jacket kept her afloat in the swirling waters of the river for up more than half an hour as construction worker Jason Oglesbee battled to reach her.
Jason Oglesby, the construction worker who pulled the woman to safety, didn’t even want any credit for saving this woman’s life.
It’s the Jason Oglesby’s of America are who make this such a great nation. We need more like him and less like the metrosexual politicans in Washington, DC.

Wow. Been a long time since I saw a man like that! We’re overwhelmed with the new Obama FemElite….ack. All emergencies will be taken care of in Committee…as soon as Ms. Pelosi arrives and hands us our N****S back.
This guy reminds me of the construction workers that highjacked a scaffolding and brought people out of the MGM Grand when it burned–they were they, they knew what to do, they just DID it and then disappeared.
Waaaaaaaaaah! I want those kinds of guys BAAAACK!

A selfless hero. Too bad our politicians have forgotten what they are in Washington for. And every one of them is millionaire. Unchecked Greed.
