Weekend News Round Up

Yet again, democrats have leaked National Security information to the New York Times, and yet again the New York Times gleefully printed the classified information. Read about it at Gateway Pundit who provides plenty of links. Also, check out Powerline to find out what the New York Times failed to report and the damage the Times has done to national security.

President Obama claims he wants to move forward and not waste time going after the Bush administration for their handling of the war on terror. His Attorney General may have other plans. In a News Week puff piece implying that Eric Holder is the best AG ever, it was revealed that Holder is still considering prosecuting Bush administration officials. So much for not turning us into a Banana Republic. He may want to keep in mind that what comes around goes around – he’s not going to be in office forever.

Speaking of Newsweek, one of their columnists declared that Obama is more Catholic than the Pope. They’re really scraping the bottom of the barrel here.

The left’s practice of the politics of personal destruction hasn’t subsided since their side gained complete control of the federal government. They’ve decided that going after Frank Ricci, the firefighter in the controversial race case in which Supreme Court Nominee Sotomayor’s decision was overturned by the Supreme Court, is a good idea. The left never rests when it comes to destroying those who stand in their way.

Glenn Reynold wrote an interesting piece about the hidden cost of national health care. If you or anyone you know has benefitted from medical technology it should strike a chord. Obamacare will certainly stifle futher advances in lifesaving medical technology.

While in Ghana, President Obama seemed to tell Africans to do as he says, not as he does. The Wall Street Journal reports that Obama urged Africans to fight corruption. Sounds like good advice, he should take it.

It’s looking less and less likely that the Democrats will have a health care bill for President Obama to sign by his August deadline. It will be even more difficult to pass once American realize that none of the politicians crafting a public plan will participate in the plan. You didn’t really think they would, did you?

Update: Visit Maggie’s Notebook for a history of the elegant Eric Holder. Maggie’s also on top of the story of Obama calling for investigations of US troops accused of murdering 2000 Afghans. Whose side is he on??

As far as I’m concerned, Obama has zero credibility. The man could walk into a room ringing wet saying it was raining, I’d still have to look outside to see if he wasn’t lying.

Here we sit with the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of our government screwing us at every turn. The MSM whitewashing all of it they can, and still, we are shackled to the sinking ship by apathetic whining little piss pots so entirely ignorant of government function and economics that they are unable to give you the most rudimentary answer about how laws and taxes are passed.

People that can’t understand why they are always just one check from the dole line. People that drive two cars that the bank owns, live in a house that the bank owns, set on bank owned furniture and watch American Idol, and My Name is Earl on Buffalo Bobs rent to own TVs. Then they order up a couple of peperoni cardboards and a three liter coke all on CitiBank credit cards.

And every time there is more month than money? It’s Bush’s fault, and the gubment should make life more simple for them.

Heaven forbid you should point out they are their own worst enemy, that they perform under par and have caused their own misery. That makes you a racist, hate speech, intolerant truth speakers.
