Dan Maffei didn’t like hearing from his constituents at his last town hall meeting. So any future meeting will be a big secret.
Freshman Rep. Dan Maffei of DeWitt said he will likely focus on smaller events after his recent experience in early July when protesters disrupted a town hall meeting in Syracuse.
“We won’t promote them much to the press,” Maffei said. “We are trying to set up enough different venues so that people can find me.”
Maffei and other lawmakers are emphasizing meeting with “stakeholders” such as seniors, physicians and small-business owners. Or they’re doing “roundtables” with pre-selected speakers.
Aren’t all of Dan Maffei’s constituents stakeholders? If he and his cohorts destroy the private insurance industry won’t we all be affected? If they pass a bill that costs trillions of dollars won’t every taxpayer pick up the tab? And about those seniors – who will represent them at Dan Maffei’s town hall? AARP?

Not surprising; he probably saw the SCOLDING that the Sec of Health and the senator Specter received and wanted NONE of that!!

Not to mention asking him how many, if any, pages of the Stimuless and the Crap and Tax bills he actually read. And, ask him if he realizes it’s us and not Nancy Pelosi that will be voting in 2010… and not for him.
