GOP is out of power but Obama is still pinning the blame on them

The American people don’t like the democrats’ plans for health “reform”. As the Wall Street Journal pointed out, all you have to do is listen to Dear Leader’s mixed messages to be turned off. He’s like a used car salesman trying to sell lemons, and when the lemons don’t sell blaming it on the dealer down the road marketing a quality product.

Targeting President Bush at every opportunity served Obama well during the campaign. Now that he and his party are in control it’s doubtful his targeting of GOP leaders will be as effective.

“I think early on, a decision was made by the Republican leadership that said, ‘Look, let’s not give him a victory, maybe we can have a replay of 1993, ’94, when Clinton came in, he failed on health care and then we won in the mid-term elections and we got the majority. And I think there are some folks who are taking a page out that playbook,” the president said.

Appearing on the Michael Smerconish radio show, Mr. Obama said he would “love to have more Republicans engaged and involved in this process,” but he vowed to win the battle, with or without support from the minority party in Congress.

What a liar. Like everything else, he couldn’t care less about input by the republicans. Or at least republicans offering free market solutions to bringing down the cost of health insurance. All he’s doing now is throwing anything and everything out there, hoping something sticks.

How very tiresome.

One Response to GOP is out of power but Obama is still pinning the blame on them

Did you see the Republican response? It was brilliant.

    From the AP:

“We would love to know when, exactly — time, date, place — the president or his staff reached out to Republican leaders?” said Brad Dayspring, a spokesman for Rep. Eric Cantor, R-Va.

Republican leaders in May sent Obama a letter outlining the GOP’s principles and asking to collaborate.

“And the president’s response?” Dayspring said. “Meeting? Nah. Work together? No thanks. Further discussion? Nope. Instead, they went with, ‘Thanks for the letter.’”
