President Obama has such little faith in American parents, he feels it necessary to appear in a back-to-school special. The same guy who thinks every American should go to college, has the nerve to lecture children to set their own goals? Isn’t he setting their goals for them?
President Obama will appear in a back-to-school television special with singer Kelly Clarkson and basketball star LeBron James next month.
Obama is appearing in a 30-minute documentary that will air at 8 p.m. Sept. 8 on BET, MTV, VH1, CMT, Comedy Central, Spike TV and Nickelodeon, all of them Viacom networks. Obama also plans to deliver a back-to-school speech to the nation’s students on the same day.
In the program, the president says education is the key to people living out their dreams.
“So as this new school year begins, I urge you to set goals for your own education: to study hard and get involved in your school, to try new things and find something you’re passionate about,” Obama says, according to a release issued Wednesday.
“And that’s how our nation will get ahead — by ensuring that every American gets a world-class education, from preschool to college to a career,” Obama said.
The cradle to grave president.
While I’m certainly not against education, I also don’t believe children, or young adults, should be pushed into college if it isn’t in their cards. This man truly does not understand Americans or the economy. How many college graduates can’t find a job? Here’s a little clue: if you don’t have a truly specialized field of study, you may have trouble finding a job upon receipt of your diploma. And if you financed your education through student loans, have fun paying them back!
Do you want a plumber working on your toilet with a four year degree, or the work experience of fixing toilets? Will you feel comfortable knowing the man who framed your new house has a degree in philosophy? What about the roofer? Is it really necessary for the roofer to have at least a year of college under his belt? If anything, he’ll charge you more to pay off his loans.
A little newsflash for the new Messiah – not all careers require a college education. And not everyone is suited for college. Why is he encouraging millions of children to saddle themselves with needless debt?
Is he afraid America’s youth aren’t being indoctrinated well enough during their primary education?
How could he even consider doing something as vile as encouraging youth to reach their full potential by striving for the education needed to reach their goals. Whether it’s plumbing, roofing, computer programming, nursing or engineering, YOU NEED AN EDUCATION. Otherwise, you might end up writing a blog.
