There’s something fishy about the concerted effort of the left to silence Glenn Beck. And these days, all things fishy lead back to the White House. flag@whitehouse.gov
Townhall’s Meredith Jessup dug into the groups behind a campaign to take Glenn Beck’s show off the air.
But what seems like a small snuff to Beck from one organization for his personal comments on-air may actually be part of something much larger. The name appearing on ColorofChange’s press release is Brandon Hatler, an employee of New York public relations firm Sunshine, Sachs & Associates (SS&A) who represents names like Ben Affleck, Morgan Freeman, Leonardo DiCaprio and Justin Timberlake, “among other A-list celebrities.” SS&A also manages media relations for for Green for All, a “social justice” organization “working to build an inclusive green economy strong enough to lift people out of poverty.” Turns out that Obama’s newly-appointed “Green Jobs Czar” Van Jones founded and operates Green for all and is a co-founder of the ColofofChange organization. [...]
When you connect all the dots, a current member of the Obama administration is a co-founder of an organization enlisting the help of a high-power New York PR firm to get a conservative commentator off the air. And all the while the Left is giddy with excitement over the prospects of Glenn Beck signing-off. Who are the “sick, twisted freaks” now?
Talk about Orwellian!
One would think a rational media would be all over this story. If they can do it to Beck, they can do it to anyone. Had a member of the Bush administration been connected to groups trying to silence Keith Olbermann, you can bet your sweet bippy we’d still be hearing about it today.
On a slightly related note, the FCC’s new Diversity Officer wants private broadcasters to fund public broadcasters dollar for dollar! Private broadcasters are profitable because they deliver a product (mostly conservative commentary) that people want. Public broadcasters need public funds to survive because they deliver a product (mostly liberal drivel) that nobody wants. This is insanity.
