Not Again! Paterson Still Rambling About Racism

I guess you can’t really blame Governor Paterson for not letting go of the delusion that his political problems are due to racism. He probably gets his news from MSNBC and CNN.

But come on! Dude! Be a man and do something about your sorry poll ratings. Try cutting spending and taxes. It works wonders!

The governor is blaming race for his political troubles again – saying some people are uncomfortable seeing so many black politicians in power.

“Part of what I feel is that one very successful minority is permissible, but when you see too many success stories, then some people get nervous,” Paterson told political blogger Gerson Borrero in a report posted Monday. [...]

A defensive – and at times self-pitying – Paterson told Borrero he’s been stewing about his treatment for some time.

“I have been quiet for 17 months on this issue,” he told Borrero over the weekend.

“I played by the rules. It was a very difficult position to find myself in, and I’ve given it my best. I’ve done the best I can under the very trying circumstances the state is facing.”

He said he understands the criticism over the budget and the Senate leadership battle, but Paterson suggested to Borrero that he is held to a different standard.

“It seems I have to work twice as hard as others,” he said.

Oh, let’s all get out our violins for poor Governor Paterson. In all fairness – he’s not as bad as Spitzer, even before that whole hooker thing.

And in case you’re wondering, Dear Leader decided to stay out of this mess. Probably a wise move.

This guy is pitiful – but you would know this first hand. I wrote about this too, and had a good time doing it.

I keep hearing the forecasts for hyperinflation – like we haven’t seen before. I don’t know if that’s just hype or not, but it scares me silly. I don’t like this. (I posted on this one too – We think like twins:-)

Let’s hope it’s hype, but there’s certainly precedent.

Paterson is a sorry excuse for governor; and race has NOTHING to do with it. The man wasn’t voted in – he won by default (Spitzer’s duh-fault *slaps forehead*). He WILL lose next year and hopefully we will get someone in that can get New York back on track.

This was all solidified for me last week when I read the article where he used stimulus money and teamed up with George Soros (of all people) to give an extra $200 per child to welfare recipients for school supplies. And – surprise surprise – there is no oversight to make sure it’s spent on just that. No wonder the local sneaker shops are having a booming business these days. *insert eye roll* The guy is obviously George Soros’ puppet. It’s sickening.
