Town hall meetings are much more pleasant for the politicians when the attendees are hand picked. Such was the case today in New Hampshire. Yet President Obama still managed to slip in a few gaffes. Where was TOTUS?
In this video he argued that private health insurance companies can compete with a government plan. To make his point that competition is possible, he compared the situation to FedEx and UPS vs. the United States Postal Service. He said FedEx and UPS are doing fine, and it’s the Post Office that’s always having problems. Oookay. So is he saying that the government run delivery system is bad, and the private system is good? Is this a good way to sell the public on the public option? Comparing it to the broke Post Office? That hardly inspires confidence.
This video below is even more puzzling. He said that doctors choose amputations because surgeons make more money. Just who is creating boogeymen, Mr. President?
And here’s the big whopper of the day. He claims he never said he’s for a single payer plan. Ahem.

The rest was just more of the same. Opponents of the democrat plans are trying to scare you, they shout and make noise, yada, yada, yada.
Update: He also lied about AARP endorsing his plan. Figures.
Please, one more time , tell me how brilliant he is and what a magnificent speaker he is.
