What a shock! Nancy Pelosi lying to the American people.
Nancy Pelosi accused Americans who oppose ObummerCare of sporting swastikas. Kevin over at WizBang must know a liar when he sees one so he decided to look into Pelosi’s claim. Turns out she made it up, or simply repeated what somebody else made up, without checking the facts.
If one were to take her at her word, surely the Nutroots (Netroots) would have been all over this story and can corroborate her assertion, right?
Wrong…
I ventured into the fever swamp to find confirmation of the Speaker’s allegations. I went to the largest community sites searching for “Swastika.” Surely that would turn up confirmation of the Speaker’s claim.
Here’s what I found… [a whole lot of nuthin]
The Daily Kos comment and the Burnt Orange Report comment are ostensibly about the same event but one person supposedly saw a kid with a swastika and another saw a sign. The Burnt Orange Report post indicates that there were only 40 or so protestors. The Burnt Orange Report comment indicates that there was media covering the event, yet none of the media noticed the swastikas? Seems pretty unlikely. More likely the two commenters were embellishing for a crowd (the other commenters) who were all too happy to believe whatever they said.
Aparently comment sections liberal blogs is where the Speaker of the House, number three in line to the Presidency, gets her information.
If Pelosi is so offended by made up swastika’s, why didn’t she denounce whoever burned a swastika into a man’s lawn for having a Bush/Cheney sign in 2004? Maybe she didn’t hear about that. How about the anti-Bush “art” exhibit in 2003 displaying an American flag with a swastika formed out of stars? How about the Bush Swastika T-shirt? I wonder if any lefties wore it to protests against Bush. How about that John Kerry supporter who wore a Bush/swastika T-shirt to a concert. Was Pelosi outraged? For eight years the nation was treated to the Nazification of George W. Bush by the far left. I couldn’t find one instance of Nancy Pelosi speaking out against it.
Oops! I forgot we can only talk about Bush when we’re blaming him for every disastrous policy the democrats have dreamed up since they gained complete control of the federal government. Oh, and dissent is no longer patriotic. My bad!
