Here’s Nancy Pelosi calling us AstroTurf. (That’s the new buzzword for normal Americans acting like liberals.) And she saw swastikas! The horror! How many liberals painted Bush as a Nazi, or the joker, or whatever villain they dreamed up at any given moment? They’re still doing it!
Poor babies. We’re finally taking a page out of their play book and they’re scared. And we’re much more presentable than their side, so they have to do their best to make us look like a bunch of loons. Oooh – those conservatives sure are scary, aren’t they?

It’s about time we started playing their little game. Otherwise we’ll be sitting around ten years from now wondering what happened to our freedom, our economy, and our health care. We’ve been sitting and grumbling about them for years, but the majority of us were so busy living our lives (you know, working, paying taxes, raising our children to be responsible citizens) we didn’t get up and do anything about it. But now people are starting to understand that the actions of this government are dangerous. We won’t be able to un-ring the bell. Unless we do something now, whatever liberty we have left we can kiss goodbye.
Joy Tiz has a great op-ed posted on Canada Free Press (via Free Republic): Co-opting Cloward-Piven. Ah, the poetic justice!
In other words, the Democrats are accusing us of behaving like Democrats.
Why are conservatives so bothered by this? For once, liberals are actually afraid of us. Conservatives have traditionally been the adults in the room. It’s never our side screaming and setting cars on fire. During the 2000 election dispute, it was hilarious to watch the republicans convening to demonstrate. That blazer wearing, designer coffee drinking and cell phone wielding assemblage didn’t scare anybody. The late, great Tony Snow once suggested that we needed a team of “Rapid Response Republicans.”
I’ve often wondered what an organized conservative protest mobilization would look like. Comprehensive advance planning would be mandatory. Who is going to go get the permits?
Whose turn is it to make the coffee run? Will there be snacks?
Conservatives have a lot to learn about becoming an angry mob.
The paid agitator- in-chief is the doyen of turmoil. Whipping a crowd into a fury to further his own agenda is the job description of a community organizer. Lacking the advantage of Alinsky indoctrination, we conservatives are going to have to coach ourselves.
This is too funny. I was at a planning meeting for the first Tea Party in Syracuse, NY. A Syracuse cop even attended the meeting. We wondered if it would be okay to bring children – what if angry liberals showed up? In the end it was decided that if we did bring our children they should go to the bathroom first, because there wouldn’t be any public restrooms at the Tea Party site. The morning of the Tea Party I donned a brand new jacket, just in case I happened to be caught on video. I wouldn’t want to look bad if I made the evening news!
They can call us uninformed all they want. We know how to read. Click here to see a smattering of what’s in the democrat’s health care bill. You can find the text of the bill here, but it takes a really long time to load. No wonder people don’t like it. And a majority of Americans have lost confidence in President Obama. 71% now believe Obama’s policies have driven up the deficit. Even the most uninformed American realizes that the taxpayers will pay that off, not the politicians.
So go ahead libs – mock us all you want. But remember these words of your gal Hillary. All we’re doing is taking her advice!

I think it is important to learn from this. Dems were painted as unpatriotic for their desention. It is debate that makes this country strong. Hopefully debate will distract the parties and keep them both from doing anything.

The GOP can play at noblesse oblige until the cows come home, and they’ll continue to fall. Wars are not won by defensive action, wars are won by offensive action.
I’m not a Republican, and I could care less what happens to the G O P, they are not a conservative party. The GOP is basically just another side of the big government complex.
If people don’t get their minds around the concept that all things government are against freedom, and that the battle is ongoing, and that “THEY” who ever “THEY” are never stop, never cease trying to curtail our freedoms, never are satisfied to leave us the hell alone, then we are lost.
Complacency has brought us to where we are today, the let “THEM” fix it, let “THEM” decide what’s best, let “THEM”? Who the hell is “THEM”?
Are we not in the throes of a government of “THEM” people, by “THEM” people, and for “THEM” people?
Our people allow “THEM” to be our police, and allow “THEM” to be our fire fighters, and allow “THEM” to educate our children, allow “THEM” to feed and clothe the lazy bastards that won’t work, and then scratch our sorry asses and wonder why we are working for “THEM” five months out of the year.
Either “WE” take it back, or “WE” will be slaves. Freedom, Serfdom……………”we” decide, or “THEY” decide.
Grass roots?? Astroturf has no roots, Pelosi and her ilk are laughing in our faces, insulting us openly and we think she’s stupid???
How’s this letting “THEM” do it working out for ya?

Gosh, I’m glad Angry White Man said all of that! YEAH, WHAT HE SAID!!
We cannot, under these circumstances, decide that we will “take the high road”. It’s like this: I hope I never have to shoot someone, but if a man breaks into my home at 3:00 a.m. and it’s him or me, why on earth would I choose to spare him?? When your life is at stake (and in the current political climate, it’s the life of this country’s ideals at stake) you just cannot afford to decide you will “fight like gentleman”. You’d better fight like you mean to win, and if that means showing up and going Acorn on some politicians then so be it (they apparently think they are above that kind of treatment and deserve respect they did not give to a sitting President). I just wish I had a ‘healthcare townhall’ to go attend and be angry-mobbish at, since right now I do have the time.
I could not possibly care less if the Left thinks I’m an an uneducated, bitter, religious, clinging, unsophisticated mobber as long as I WIN.

I disagree with your political views, but you’re right on a lot of fronts, and I wish half the people who are complaining about health-care were half as articulate as you.
People who randomly spout the opinions of Faux news personalities do nothing to assist their cause, and only makes Americans look dumber to the rest of the world.
FYI, Americans currently have the 2nd most expensive healthcare in the world, but every relevant statistic pegs American healthcare as being one of the worst in the developed world. Something needs to be done. It’s only a question of ‘what’.
