News of the Day – 9/14/09 – Updated

Venezuela is teaming up with Russia to develop nuclear energy. You have to wonder what else they’re up to.

If ObummerCare passes we’re sure to hear more stories like this one. Medicare covers kidney transplants, but not the anti-rejection medications transplant recipients need for life. The result is either repeat transplants or transplant recipients undergoing dialysis. Sometimes people die due to this policy. What would you call the bureaucrats who came up with such a policy?

President Obama delivered a speech today. Weird, I know. And he lied again. Go figure. He defended his new tire tariff, which not only set off a trade war, but will increase the price of low end tires here in the US. Gee, I wonder which class of Americans that will hurt the most.

No surpise here: The main stream media refuses to cover the ACORN corruption story.

Earlier today law enforcement raided homes in Queens, NY after tracking a known Al Qaeda associate. We better hope all proper warrants were in place. More here: They were looking for explosives and bomb making materials such as gels, powders, and fuses. That’s scary. More here: The man who predicted the 1993 WTC bombing and 9/11 predicts another big attack. Let’s hope the new administration hasn’t completely dismantled our intelligence gathering capabilities.

More news later, I didn’t have time to do a separate post for each story.
