November 2, 2010 Can’t Come Fast Enough

Neither can November 6, 2012. 399 days until next year’s mid term elections. A grueling 1134 days until the next presidential election. How much more can we take? Will the republic last?

It’s mind boggling to listen to pundits and politicians talk about the cost of health care. They talk like the health insurance market is free at this time, and that’s why we have a problem. That couldn’t be farther from the truth. But nobody cares about the truth. The people don’t want to hear the truth and the politicians and pundits don’t want to tell it. I have an idea: how about we all cut back on Starbucks and flat screen TVs, pay less for health insurance, and pay out of pocket for routine health care? What’s wrong with that? We’ve been conditioned to believe we should not be financially responsible for our own health and well being.

While on the subject of politicians and pundits, I may scream if I hear one more of them waxing eloquent about the failures of capitalism and free markets. I’m in my (very) early forties and truly free market capitalism has not been in existence in my lifetime. Who are these people to bash capitalism when it isn’t capitalism that failed?

I don’t believe that in 399 days (or 1134 days) anything will drastically change, but perhaps we can slow things down. I’m not naive enough to hope everything this radical gang controlling our federal government manages to pass can be repealed. Heck, I’m not even naive enough to believe my children will have a better life than I do. All I can hope is it’s not worse for my kids, and that we can eventually move to another state.

Our children are being indoctrinated - they can’t talk about God in school but they can worship an untested man. Our president finds flying off to Denmark to pimp out Chicago to the Olympic Committee more important than talking to his general in Afghanistan. He’s even pissed off French President Nicolas Sarkozy, he’s such a wimp. The majority in congress and the president will stop at nothing to take over 1/6 of the American economy, while taking over our bodies at the same time. What happened to the liberals who shout “Keep your laws off my body?”

They’ve taken over auto companies and banks, the FDIC is broke, they’re going to dump more money into bad housing loans, while the Fed warns they will raise interest rates to stave off inflation. Oh, and let’s not forget about their cap and tax plan that’s going to cost every American family anywhere between $1700 and $4000 a year.

There are radicals – ACORN activists, communists, perverts – working for this administration. Yet the media remains silent unless utterly shamed into reporting on week-old stories. Anyone who has the gaul to raise any of these issues is targeted by the left. They want to destroy anyone standing in the way of the total destruction of our republic. I could go on, but it’s tiring keeping up with these statists.

All we can do is put them on notice. We must continue the Tea Party movement and continue to spread the word. Follow the links above to find out the truth about capitalism and freedom. Knowledge is power. Facts don’t lie. In all honesty, I would love nothing more than to go back to the days of watching the evening news at 6, reading the paper and a few blog posts, and calling myself informed. But I can’t. I know too much. I read too much. I’m worried for my children.

We are at a crossroads, and somehow a few hundred people in Washington, DC hold my children’s future in their hands. What a frightening thought.

…”But nobody cares about the truth. The people don’t want to hear the truth and the politicians and pundits don’t want to tell it.”…

There it is, the very reason this nation is falling on it’s collective ass.

I believe this nation to be populated by and large by generous caring people who don’t really want to hear what a deplorable state our freedoms are in. Who because it is the easy road, will practice denial, who for reasons of their own still believe government is a benevolent entity seeking only to protect and serve.

There is a small awakening, yet many are so entrenched in the “good government” idealism that you can’t drag them out of it with a D8 CAT (and I gotta tell ya, a D8 can literally move mountains). There is entirely to much “there is nothing I can do” going on out there.

Independent? A sovereign people? Freemen? Oh hell yes, as long as Uncle Sugar says so………….

Social Security – broke. Medicare – broke. Federal government – broke. Most state governments – broke. So what do they do? Why they promise even more government programs. The Strategy of Manufactured Crisis is moving right along schedule.

AWM – You’re so right about people saying “there’s nothing I can do.” I hear that all the time. Maddening.

And just think of the endless years that we’ll be stuck with his ghastly court appointments, at least 2, and probably 3 just on the supreme. The very thought of it is too scary to describe. Stephen King couldn’t even describe such a horror story.

I still have trust and confidence.

Confidence that the American people will wake up and fix this.

Trust that the Second Ammendment will keep us free.
