When Barack Obama repeats the tired meme that he’d be happy to listen to republican ideas on health care, keep in mind that he’s shut them out. He’s lying. The Hill reports that John Boehner said no House Republicans have been invited to the White House to discuss health care since April. Obama doesn’t really care what they have to say.
Boehner told reporters that the president has not invited House GOP leaders to the White House for meetings on healthcare reform since the end of April.
Earlier this year, GOP leaders sent a letter to the president in May stating that they would like to work with the administration to find “common ground” on healthcare reform.
But the administration responded with a tersely worded letter indicating that they had healthcare reform under control.
Judging from the latest poll, Americans don’t believe Obama has things under control.
An Associated Press-GfK poll says that public disapproval of President Barack Obama’s handling of health care has jumped to 52 percent.
The same survey shows that 49 percent now disapprove of his overall performance as president. In July, just 42 percent disapproved of how he was handling his job.
I guess it was easier to get people to believe a lie if it was told often enough in the days before the internet and alternative news sources. If we’re lucky, Obama will have risen to power just a few decades too late.

My son and I were just discussing how Obama’s presidency may have turned out differently if not for internet communication. Imagine what the US would be like had the instant communication been available when FDR was around.

If you never talk to someone it becomes very easy to say they have nothing to offer-you can “lie” with a straight face. BTW-I am so tired of “disingenuous”— let’s start calling a liar a liar.
