Not only did President Obama use his address to congress the other night to bash his predecessor and take veiled swipes at Sarah Palin and others who oppose his agenda, he also demonized the very Americans fighting for our freedom in foreign lands. And why did he feel the need to hold another joint session of congress to get his point across?
This may explain it. He’s planning to “Rahm” it down our throats.
By offering Republicans olive branches during his address to Congress on Wednesday, Obama has set up a win-win situation. If GOP lawmakers embrace compromise, a healthcare bill would pass Congress easily. But the more likely scenario is that Republicans will continue to oppose Obama’s plan, and the president later this fall will be able to note he tried to strike a deal with the GOP but could not.
That will set up a Democratic argument that Senate leaders have been forced to use a partisan budget tool known as reconciliation to pass a health bill through the Senate by a simple majority, instead of 60 votes. Under the budget plan they passed earlier this year, Democrats could invoke the reconciliation process on Oct. 15.
Republicans contend that the use of reconciliation would be at odds with Obama’s call for bipartisanship during his 2008 presidential campaign. But Obama has countered that argument in recent days by forcefully resurrecting the anti-Washington rhetoric that got him elected.
I’d like to know what those “olive branches” were. Sure, he said the same crap he’s been saying all along about bipartisanship, yet failed to mention that he and Nancy Pelosi have shut down any Republican amendments or bills since day one. And appointing a former trial lawyer lobbyist is hardly an olive branch on tort reform. He’s the most partisan president I’ve witnessed first hand. As usual his words don’t match his actions. Just another political ploy to ram through his agenda.
And that anti-Washington rhetoric was just that – rhetoric. He’s concentrating more power in Washington than ever before. Mix in the Chicago political machine and we have a recipe for disaster. Or revolution. A peaceful resolution, that is.

The most amazing thing going on now is “there is no bill, so you can’t say that “X” is in it “–I have heard that about 15 times in the last 3 days, from multiple demonrat talking heads since nobama’s speech-Joe Wilson was wrong because that is not in the bill etc. etc….The only time we will see the bill is when it comes out the other end after they have crammed it down our throats.

Hey, BHO, don’t you think that the failure to strike a deal with the GOP could mean, um, that the plan STINKS and should be scrapped rather than rammed–or Rahmed–through?
