The Left, the Right or the Media?

When will Obama’s silly campaign speeches end? When we break him. Many “conservative” media pundits treat the President as though he is a measured Democrat trying to balance the hard left in his party with the fiscal conservative Democrats. That is a terrible mistake. He is hard left too. He has told us that in his books and through his years as a State Senator and his minimal time as a Congressional Senator. He has hard left beliefs, has acted as a hard left radical, and advocates a hard left view of restructuring America to be like European socialist democracies.

His latest attempt to plow over the strong roots of liberty and individualism is the health care takeover. He wishes to be daddy leader. He knows better than all of us. Through his endless goodness he is going to mandate a fiscal burden on all citizens for their act of living. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness becomes: Life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, and compassionate taxation. His lofty platitudes try to make us feel guilty for believing that liberty is more important than paying for our neighbors’ appendectomy.

This brings me back to the belief that we need to break him. In the middle of his speech came the ridiculous statement that we can’t let “the left, the right, or the media” derail this. What? So if the left, the right, or the media have problems who is left? Him. He is the only one we should listen to or believe. We are to believe him that his government option would not cost the American people anything. Really? We are to believe him that any critical debate about his plan is full of lies and misstatements. Really? The most ominous quote of the night, and the one which proves his hard left agenda, was this:

“To my progressive friends, I would remind you that for decades, the driving idea behind reform has been to end insurance company abuses and make coverage available for those without it. The public option is only a means to that end — and we should remain open to other ideas that accomplish our ultimate goal.”

For the progressive, ending insurance company abuse means putting them out of business and allowing the beneficent government to parcel out or redistribute care. That is the “ultimate goal”. He has proven by this latest speech that he will not listen to the voice of liberty loving Americans. His speech was a hard line partisan swipe. He has made it clear that compromise from his end will not be possible. He cannot be bent. He must be broken. He knows that this is his Waterloo. He is a megalomaniac like Napoleon. He tries to deify himself constantly, but his autocratic tendencies have recently shocked many out of their cult stupor and the polls are now turning on him.

Thankfully America is still a land of Americans and not American National Socialists. This is why he will lose and become a historical joke. The oath of office will now include the phrase “to protect and defend the Constitution and to never pull an Obama”. I have this confidence because I know what will happen this weekend on 9/11 and 9/12. The voice of America will be overwhelming.

Andrew, I would quote you if you didn’t post this here! He is dangerous. See my post above.

Are you going to DC this weekend? I can’t make it after all. I’ve been searching for a local tea party, but everyone’s going to DC and I don’t have the time to plan one myself.

No, I cannot go either. I would like to physically be part of this history, but I will have to do so at a distance. Sorry you can’t go. I was looking forward to reading a post from you about the march.

I have to go through my emails. I think I was provided a link to provide live streaming of the events. If I can find it I’ll put it up. I’d like to see it, too.

Andrew is spot-on there, nice post. I can never give up my insurance company background–I know that they actually risk a lot more money per individual than they collect. What is “unfair” about that? And without underwriting guidelines and denials, it’s not “insurance” (which was always supposed to be a hedge against disastrous costs, not a run to the doctor with every sniffle just because it’s there) — without those standards, it’s just welfare beginning with an “i”. This whole topic isn’t even a legitimate crisis, it’s another of Obama’s manufactured crises. I hope Andrew is right. I hope, eventually, that Obama is a sad footnote about the first black president and that the next black president is worth admiring.
