Asking for Prayers

This post is to those of you who regularly read this blog. For that I thank you, and I consider you friends.

I received some bad news today. My mother, who has battled a chronic illness for quite a few years, has taken a turn for the worse. I was hoping this was just another exacerbation of her condition, which has become routine. I spoke to her physician today and the prognosis is not good. The realist in me isn’t surprised, but the little girl waiting for a miracle is devastated.

I have no idea what will happen in the days or weeks ahead. Right now I’m just coming to terms with what’s happening and I’m very sad. Any prayers and good wishes you can send our way would be greatly appreciated.

I’ll continue to follow the news here on this blog, if nothing else it may help me to take my mind off the things I can’t control. (Not that I can control the radicals in Washington, but at least I feel like I’m doing something.) I just wanted you to know I haven’t given up on the fight against the statists. I know my mom doesn’t want me to do that. She’s received world class care, without which she would definitely be a distant memory.
