I don’t have much time for intellectuals these days. They’ve done more to screw things up that any American of average intellect could have done in his wildest dreams. But Charles Krauthammer is an intellectual I listen to. He clarifies the issues so well, and his speech at the Manhattan Institute is one every American should note. Mr. Krauthammer ties it all together – our decline as a world leader is a choice, as is our economic decline. Sadly, it appears that President Obama has chosen decline.
It is definitely worth reading the entire text of the speech. (I even bookmarked it for later reference.) Here’s a short clip, where Mr. Krauthammer points out that Obama indicted his own country. But this clip doesn’t do justice to the entire speech – how domestic and foreign policy are linked whether we like it or not.
