Club for Growth Launches New Doug Hoffman Ad in NY 23
ByHere’s the latest Club for Growth ad in the race for NY-23. Here’s their press release:
Washington – Club for Growth and Club for Growth PAC will launch a $300,000 television ad campaign tomorrow in the special election for New York’s 23rd Congressional District. The campaign follows the Club for Growth PAC’s Sept. 28 endorsement of Doug Hoffman, a Republican running on the Conservative ticket, over liberal Republican Dede Scozzafava and Democrat Bill Owens.
The television ad (seen below) will run in all three of the principle TV markets in NY-23 (Watertown, Burlington, and Syracuse). The ad asks, “Tired of choosing between two liberals for Congress?” Both Scozzafava and Owens support big government policies like Obama’s stimulus plan, Cash for Clunkers, and “card check.” Thankfully, there is a better choice in conservative Doug Hoffman, who is an Army veteran, financial expert, and small business owner.
“There’s a stark contrast in the three candidates running in this race,” said Club for Growth President Chris Chocola. “The two liberals, Dede Scozzafava and Bill Owens, support the Pelosi tax and spend agenda, while Doug Hoffman offers a fiscally conservative alternative based on lower taxes and limited government. Hoffman is the only candidate in the race who will fight for less wasteful spending, no more bailouts, and no tax hikes on hard working Americans.”

I’ve been following this story for a while now and I still can’t find the NAMES of the NY GOP leadership that made the decision to run Dede. This same kind of decision making has played out over a number of years throughout the country and has done the deed of filling the ranks with RINOs. The leadership in the GOP that perpetuates this malfeasance must be exposed and removed from positions of power from within. They are doing the same to the party as the President is to our country. Names please.
It was local party leaders. I did a quick search, couldn’t find all their names.

Thanks for the links, I read both stories. Mr. Ellis and Ms. Martin need to resign, effective yesterday. They have made a national controversy and shame out of none to have been. Where are these people’s heads? Dede won on “name recognition and political experience”? Why didn’t they just run Bill Clinton or Elliot Spitzer? Sheesh!
That’s the state of the GOP in NY. What a mess. I wrote about it Saturday night. I’d get the link for you but I’m too tired and my pillow is calling out my name. It’s probably only one page back – if you scroll to the bottom there’s an earlier posts linke. I stayed up late to watch the Phillies game. They won in the ninth!
I’m going to publish my last post and go to sleep. Have a good night!
Good read. Unfortunately this story is playing out in too many districts. Republican leadership either backs a “RINO”, or “the human sedative”. Perhaps leadership at the top needs continuous prodding from the base, from the grass roots. Maybe it’s just me, and he’s the new guy, but sometimes I think Mr. Steele isn’t totally on board.
Thanks. I was hopeful about Steele when he first started, I liked his enthusiasm. Lately I’m having second thoughts.
