The weather is wreaking havoc on my weekend.
My son’s ball game this morning began in the cold rain. After a long rain delay the game was resumed but it only seemed to get colder as the day went on. Unfortunately, we can’t blame the heartbreaking outcome on the weather. (That’s on the shoulders of really bad officiating and a stupid rule only allowing pitchers to pitch two innings.) It’s supposed to go down to the 30′s tonight here in CNY. Brrr.
I was all set to curl up in my sweats in front of the fire and watch Game 3 of the Philadelphia – Colorado series. I’ll have to find a good book to read instead. The game is postponed due to a winter storm! Snow, sleet, freezing rain and record cold temperatures. I should be thankful we’re only going down to the 30′s tonight, and not the 20′s like it is in Denver. They should build a dome.
I checked the calendar just to be sure, and sure enough, it looks like winter’s started early this year. What makes it worse is that summer started so late.
Oh global warming - we hardly knew ya!
I better go find my long johns.
Freezing temps and the trees are just turning color…it’s definately a lot early for the cold. Crops struggled in the midwest due to cooler ground temps. Potatos and corn were weak. It seems like I just took the snow plow off the truck (last mid April), what the heck happened to summer? Global warming…bring it on!!!

Thankfully I left a pair of gloves in my car after last winter. So my hands stayed warm at the game.
