Harry Reid Admits ObummerCare Will Cost Two Trillion Dollars!

By

Here’s video of Harry Reid admitting that ObummerCare will cost $2,000,000,000,000.00. That’s a lot of zeroes. (No, I’m not referring to the nasty politicians in Washington DC.) But his point isn’t the cost of the so-called reform that’s supposed to bring down the cost of health care. No, his point is that $54 Billion a year potential savings from tort reform is a mere pittance. It’s so easy to talk that way when it’s someone else’s money you’re spending.

PLUS, he’s a stinking EX-LAWYER. This man is so nauseatingly disingenuous I can’t stand it. Pushing for Sue Lowden–we have GOT to get rid of Clean Face Harry; he has forgotten that he’s supposed to be working for the state of Nevada, NOT Nancy Pelosi and The One. Time to clean house next year, folks.

He’s not saying that Obamacare will cost $2 trillion. He is saying that the current healthcare expenditure, both private and public, is $2 trillion. Of course, that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t try to save $54 billion. And it doesn’t mean that $850 billion is an acceptable cost of healthcare reform. And I still think Harry Reid is a self serving politician that does not care at all about the wellbeing of his constituents at all as long as they keep voting for him. But when we misquote people, it makes us look stupid and takes away our credibility. Every time we misquote someone to make an argument, the other side says, “See, you don’t know what you’re talking about.” There are plenty of valid arguments against the current heathcare reform proposals. We don’t need to destroy our own credibility by misquoting people.

  3. [...] He didn’t. Reid could only muster 37 votes in a Senate that boasts a 60 vote Democratic majority. Do you think he tore into his Democratic pals? No, he blamed the Republicans for holding up this nightmare. They did their part, but with only 39 votes in the Senate, they don’t have a lot to say. What Reid is really angry about, aside from the fact that he was thoroughly embarrassed, is that he doesn’t think $250 billion is that much. In fact, he railed against tort reform earlier in the week, saying the potential $54 billion in savings was nothing compared to a $2 trillion price tag. It sure sounded like the “T” word slipped out. Judge for yourself. [...]
