Obama doesn’t like anyone getting in the way of his plan for government to take over health care in America. He tried to bring the insurance companies on board, and briefly had their cooperation until they realized they were being sold down the river along with the rest of us. Now that they’re telling the truth about the democrats plans, they’re again Public Enemy Number 1.
President Obama is warning that, as the debate over health care reform draws to a close, the insurance industry is “rolling out the big guns” and “breaking open their massive war chest” as a “last ditch effort” to fight against reform.
“They’re filling the airwaves with deceptive and dishonest ads. They’re flooding Capitol Hill with lobbyists and campaign contributions. And they’re funding studies designed to mislead the American people,” the president said in his weekly address, “It’s smoke and mirrors. It’s bogus.”
President Obama said that “like clockwork” the insurance industry “and their apologists” have gone on cable television waving “industry-funded” studies in the air to block reform.
Smoke and mirrors, huh? If anyone’s using smoke and mirrors in the health care debate it’s the democrats. Take, for instance, the fact that the cost of enacting the Baucus bill will triple in the second decade. They aren’t telling you that. They also fail to mention that middle class taxes will significantly increase.
The president said he will not abide by those who “bend the truth” or “break it” to score political points as the debate draws to a close.
Inaction to pass reform, the president warned, would take a considerable toll, the president said — devastation of the U.S. economy.
Ha! As if Dear Leader and his cronies never bend the truth or tell outright lies! And when it comes to devastation of the economy – he and his buddies in congress are doing fine in that department. If they remain on the path of reckless spending the economy will be devasted well into the distant future.

You’re exactly right. Once the industry figured out what he planned to do they bolted. That’s why he working so hard and so fast, because sooner or later, almost everyone will bolt. Those standing in line in Detroit for Obama stash will hang around. Everyone else will be gone. We must make it “sooner.”
